Security Officers Received Advanced Training

Nearly 50 security officers at the Javits Center completed a rigorous, advanced training course – the latest step in a recent security overhaul that has included the installation of more than 1,000 security cameras, electronic locks on all meeting room doors and new personnel.

Their efforts were celebrated in a ceremony earlier this month with President and CEO Alan Steel, who praised the members for their dedication to protecting the convention center on Manhattan’s West Side, the busiest in the United States.
