Anime NYC 2018 attracted a record number of 36,000 visitors to the Javits Center over three days in November, according to event organizers. The record-breaking attendance is nearly double the crowd from the first event at the Javits Center last year.
Anime NYC is a showcase of the best of Japanese pop culture, bringing anime fans and publishers together for unique exhibits, exclusive screenings, extensive panels and appearances by some of the biggest creators in Japan.
The event included numerous panels, anime vendors and an artist alley, along with thousands of attendees dressed in cosplay. This year’s event consisted of more than 240 artists and 220 exhibitors ranging from anime comic books to publishing panels hosted by industry leaders.
Anime NYC is a creation of LeftField Media, a boutique event company made up of dedicated fans and experienced convention organizers.
