In only its second year of operation, BroadwayCon stormed into the Javits Center in late January, and by all accounts, the event was an enormous success. Following the event’s blockbuster inaugural year with 5,000 attendees, event organizers wanted a bigger and bolder space in order to accommodate even more guests and events in which to participate.
“Join some of Broadway’s biggest fans, performers, and creators from classic and current shows as we gather at the incomparable Jacob K. Javits Convention Center to perform, discuss, debate, and celebrate theatre,” organizers said.
Organizers expected up to 15,000 guests, and from the enthusiasm of the crowds, it would be no surprise if they exceeded their expectations.
Over one amazing weekend, attendees were able to participate in workshops, singalongs and dance parties, while getting the chance to meet with some of their favorite actors and listen to Broadway’s most beloved stars talk about their craft.
The star-studded event further solidifies the Javits Center’s status as a unique hub of commerce and culture where the industry leaders of business, pop culture and politics can gather to celebrate and connect with one another – all under one giant green roof.
