The Javits Center’s former Sales and Marketing Director Jim Hamilton was recently honored by the New York chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). At the IAEE-NY chapter meeting, Jim Hamilton, who recently retired from the Javits Center after 33 years of service, was honored with a lifetime achievement award for his work in supporting the exposition industry.
Jim was part of the original Javits Center team – working out of the Columbus Circle office and bringing clients to the building for tours during the convention center’s construction. Since then, he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing, booking hundreds of events, attracting new customers and helping to generate billions of dollars in economic activity for the Empire State.
IAEE veteran Steve Leonard also was honored with a lifetime achievement award for his work with the New York chapter and exposition industry.
