A new three-block park is opening on Manhattan’s West Side – across from the Javits Center in September! Hudson Park will officially open on Sunday, September 13, and the open space is another amazing addition to the rapidly changing neighborhood.
Located on West 33rd St. and West 36th St. between 10th and 11th avenues, the park features entrances to the new 7 Subway station, new tables and chairs, new modern benches and water fountains. There is also a children’s playground, a lawn area, restrooms and food and beverages at a new kiosk!
This park is located next to the 4.5 acre Hudson Yards Public Square, which will house almost a mile of pedestrian walkways and nearly 30,000 diverse plants, according to Related Companies and Oxford Properties. The Public Square also will include groves of more than 200 mature trees designed to reflect the ecology of Manhattan, the companies said.
