New Uniforms Unveiled

The Javits Center’s security team will be displaying new uniforms in January 2018, another step in our efforts to modernize our workforce and enhance the experience for customers and employees. The uniforms — with grey, black and gold colors -- will be provided to all 48 Public Safety Officers who are responsible for protecting the Javits Center campus.

The new uniforms include new features such as:

  • Bullet-resistant and knife-resistant vest
  • Duty belt
  • CPR kit
  • Flashlight
  • Badge with officer identification
  • Procedure manual

Led by Vice President of Security and Safety Solutions Ken Dixon, the Javits Center has implemented a security overhaul throughout the facility, including the installation of a state-of-the-art Command Center, more than 1,000 security cameras, electronic locks on all meeting room doors and anti-ramming devices along the perimeter of the property. The recent increase in security training and technology has served as a crime deterrent and has led to an increase in lost items recovered. At the request of customers, the security team also offers event security during events at the Javits Center. For information about our security services, please contact Mr. Dixon at
