Whole Foods Coming to the West Side!
The very popular Whole Foods grocery store is coming to Manhattan’s West Side, landing in a new development near the Javits Center. The 60,000-square-foot store will serve all of the new Hudson Yards neighborhood, further demonstrating how much the once-industrial neighborhood is transforming into a residential and business mecca.
Located at Brookfield’s Manhattan West development at 10th Avenue and West 31st Street, the organic-focused store will feature dine-in and take-out options, as well as groceries and other culinary delights from around the world, according to developers.
The store will be housed inside a 16-story tower at the southeast corner of the complex – across from the Related’s Hudson Yards development, which also will include dozens of new restaurants once construction is fully completed.
The doors to the upcoming Whole Foods will open to Magnolia Court, “a new north-to-south tree-lined walkway set above an access road for the Lincoln Tunnel,” according to a New York Times article on March 17, 2017. “It will connect West 31st and West 33rd Streets when it opens this spring.”
